March, 2012 | Visual Snippets

Busy.

Continuous play-time messes.

Growing orchids (and keeping them alive!).

Weekly dance classes, and a dance competition.

First outdoor play of spring 2012.

Noticing the spring sunset, everywhere.

An undying obsession with Spiderman.

Dresses and open-toed shoes.

Summer-styled drinks.

Letting my hair down to dance with warm breezes.

Falling in love with film, all over again.

Kindergarten prep classes, over.

Flowers.

First park visit.

Cleaning pink rooms.

Non-boots shoes.

Mid-morning coffee breaks.

This was my March.

Baby girl is, um, 4?

My baby girl will be 5 in about 4.5 months. And this wonderful fact, is what makes this post so much more embarrassing.

See, I never shared her 4 year old pictures (as I haven’t shared a lot my pictures recently). Im a busy momma. Sue me.

But, I do have a good excuse. Her 4 year old pictures were taken at Turks and Caicos, last summer. Those pictures were just edited a few days ago (looking down in shame). And now that I have all those pictures completed, I can proudly share her birthday pics.

Yay! No?

And here they are. The pictures of my baby girl, Gia, whom turned 4 on July 19th… Wow. Reading this makes me feel even more crummy.

Anywho, here they are!

They were taken in our hotel room. It was just she and I hanging out, and she looked adorable, she was excited, and was in the mood to take some pictures. How could I resist? of course.

And while at Turks and Caicos, she celebrated her birthday in grand style- with Abby Cadabby herself!

Thanks for looking!

Now stay tuned for images from Turks and Caicos, coming soon :)

Baby boy will be 3 on January 29th. My delicate, tiny-faced newborn, my preemie, will be 3.

To commemorate this milestone, here’s a peek into his world as it is now, featuring things he likes, loves, and has dealt with for the last few months.

I Heart Faces: Beautiful Eyes

It’s been a while since I participated in an I Heart Faces challenge, but I had to make some time to participate in this week’s- Beautiful Eyes. Lucky for me, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of photographing many people with beautiful eyes, particularly little people, so I knew I wouldn’t have had a hard time finding a nice picture.

I did a little searching, and fell across one of my favorite pictures ever. A picture of my little boy, Mikey :) I’m sure I’m being a tad biased, but goodness he has great eyes!

To see other great entries, or to participate yourself, head over to I Heart Faces now :)

Ive been busy… | Personal

Please forgive me. Please. I’ve been a horrible, just horrible blogger :( I love writing, I love taking pictures, and I’ve been failing miserably at updating my photoblog. What a loser.

But, its not all my fault. I’ve been a tad caught up, with sessions (smiling here!), the gym (flexing here!), home stuff (yawning here), and my kids (panting here). Yes, they are the main reason Im always so caught up. If one’s not in school, one’s in dance. If its not dance, its a doctor’s appointment. If its not that, its all three of them in the house, aiming to drive me bonkers.

And in the midst of trying to navigate through their world, I tend to neglect things I like, such as writing, and sharing my ‘work’.

And so yes, these 3 little bean heads are to blame.

This inquisitive little one tends to keep me busy with her  many, many questions and random thoughts.

And speaking about ‘bonkers’… This beba keeps me busy with her diva ‘tude, and her silly antics.

And this Mr. occupies my time, well, with me. He’s a bit of a mama’s boy, and seems to be a tad obsessed with me, so we spend A LOT of time together.

Well, at the end, I suppose if Im ever gonna let myself get a ‘little too busy’, these are the best reasons to do it :)

(Above image taken with my newest baby, a droid).

See you guys soon!

Valentine’s 2011. With my babies :) | Personal

It’s that time again- when mom-togs all over the world get to dress their kids up in festive little outfits, reflecting the ‘holiday’, and take pictures, even when the kids don’t care for it :D

Here are some pictures of my babies, for Valentine’s Day 2011.

We’re starting off with a cheesy-smiles picture, but at least they’re all ‘focused’, and that’s always a nice image to get.

This is my camera loving one. This is her ‘drama’ face.

Think she’s sick of me?

The best picture I got of him, without him trying to run away from me.

Aww, they love each other. Usually.

My favorite of the day.

And when it’s over, it’s over.

Thanks for looking! Happy Valentine’s Day!

My baby’s 2nd Birthday Pics :D | Personal

My little boy turns two.

As every mother usually feels, I can’t believe we’re here. My baby boy, my last born, my ‘preemie’ is now a toddler.

He’s come such a long way- from his early arrival, to this, his 2nd birthday; from his bright and lonely NICU room, to his messy, toy-filled bedroom; from his very delicate infant hood, to him romping around the house like a boy maniac; and from his tiny, and I mean tiny outfits, to his size 6 shoes, and size 2t shirts, even some 3t’s, he’s come so far.

Im so proud of him. And I mean that with all sincerity. I’m not going to brag, because there’s no need to. His little personality speaks for itself. And to add, he’s a late bloomer of sorts. I’m not going to put any expectations on him. I mean, he is a preemie, 2 months behind really. So while all his little friends and cousins are doing things now, he’ll do them in 2 months. But that’s fine. To me, he’s just perfect.

He doesn’t have an extensive vocabulary yet, he’s not attuned to all his shapes and colors, and is just recognizing letters, but he’s my perfect little boy. Just to hear him say ‘circle’, ‘star’, or to hear him say, ‘rrrrr’ whenever he sees the letter R fills me with an immense pride. I feel the same way a mother of a 20 month old feels when she hears her baby sing the whole alphabet. No matter what, the emotions are the same.

I don’t know if the fact that I carried him in me for so many months makes me say all this, but I’ve never met a sweeter boy- he loves to hug, he loves to be held, and he loves company. I’ve never met a more tranquil baby boy- he’s quiet, quite observant, and a tad shy; and me, I’ve never seen a more handsome little boy- he has the best hair, the most dreamy eyes, the most scrumptious little lips, and a smile to die for.

So yea, as any of my childrens’ birthdays, this is a special day. A day of remembering, reflection, gratitude, and hope (that the terrible twos treat me good :p

And, as it has become a habit, I had a small, birthday photo shoot for my little guy (birthday party pics coming soon), so sit back and enjoy :)

And what a better way to start the pictures, than by commemorating his second birthday with a picture of his favorite obsession of the past year or so- Toy Story!! This is so Mikey

I think the mom-tog in me is training him well, right?

J.Crew, did you call??

And coming at a close second- he’s obsessed with cars. Not the movie, just cars.

And the perfect book for my 2 year old, Happy Birthday, Pookie. I’ve been calling him Pookie for 2 years now❤

Happy birthday to my baby boy.

Thanks so much for looking!

My little boy :) | Personal

So, it seems I’ve started off on a bad foot. I told myself, I’d be a better blogger. I made a mental note of the days I’d want to blog, and the things I planned to blog, but fourteen days into the year, and I’ve only posted one new topic. Shame on me.

I do still anticipate revisiting my plans, but until then, allow me to share some pictures I took of my little guy just this afternoon.

I had to do it. My bedroom was flooded with gorgeous afternoon sunlight. But it was more than just sunlight. It was bright sunlight bouncing off blankets of snow. Can you imagine the light coming into my bedroom? Just gorg!

And it worked out perfectly, because that’s another little mental note I made for this year- take more pictures of my children, just for the hell of it. I mean, I do take numerous pictures of my children often, but sometimes they aren’t even good. From now on, I want to aim to take ‘good’ pictures of my babies. Pictures that they can look at years from now, and tell a story just from looking at the image.

And no picture batch of a soon-to-be 2 year-old would be complete, without a cheesy smile shot :P

And yes, I really am that entertaining.

The loner

Since his two big sisters started ballet camp last week, he’s had to find way to entertain himself.

He mopes around, appearing bored, looking for things to do. I know he misses his girls. A lot.

He’s resorted to playing in his room, I’m sure just killing time, until they get home.
